The Apple Watch Series 9 is Apple’s second most expensive watch, following the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which launched in fall 2023. For a limited time, the Series 9 is discounted to a lower price than it was on Black Friday. A very short sale through Best Buy (which lasts until March 20th at 1am EST) includes the 41mm GPS Sports Loop Series 9 and a free four-month subscription to Apple Fitness+. $299 (Originally $399.99) after $100 off. If you’re reading this after the deadline, check out Amazon. That’s because transactions are being matched over an undisclosed period of time. After looking at our price comparison tool, this is the lowest price we’ve seen for the Series 9.

  • Amazon $299 (originally $399) comes with a three-month subscription to Apple Fitness+.

The Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 made headlines in January due to their ban on blood oxygenation, which you might not need anyway. If you buy the Series 9 from Best Buy, there’s a good chance you’ll be getting one with blood oxygen functionality, as Apple has only discontinued selling that model in stores as of now. There’s no indication that Apple will remove the feature via a software update for those who already own it or can get it from a third-party store before it runs out of stock. If these third-party sellers need to restock the Apple Watch, they’ll likely buy a newer product that doesn’t require blood oxygen monitoring. (For example, Amazon no longer lists blood oxygen monitoring as a feature of the Series 9 on its sales page.)

Keep in mind that the version being sold is a GPS-only version (as opposed to GPS + Cellular). This means you’ll need to have your iPhone nearby to answer calls or send messages. The aluminum is less expensive than the stainless steel model, and the 41mm screen is for those who prefer a screen smaller than 45mm.
