Granblue Fantasy: Relinking There are some gameplay systems that you need to get used to, especially if you want to complete its end-game missions. Most are thoroughly explained in the tips section of Lyria’s Diary, but Link again Oddly, it doesn’t tell you what Honor is or what it does. We have the answer.

What is honor in Link back to Granblue Fantasy?

You’ve probably completed most of your tasks in Granblue Fantasy: Relinking, solo or with friends in co-op multiplayer mode. There’s a lot of information to analyze on the battle results screen, most of which is easy to understand. But you’ll also notice a number above the character you play, labeled Honor. For example, in the screenshot below, we completed a mission as Narmaya and earned 154,027 Trophies.

So how did we receive these Honors? This is a mechanic ported from the original Granblue illusion game for mobile devices, and from what we can tell, the amount of Honor you earn is based on how much damage you deal to enemies and bosses. Each mission has a maximum number of Trophies you can earn, which will be divided among the group if you play co-op (Link again does not award Trophies to AI-controlled characters). So the more Honor you have, the more damage you do to enemies.

This description makes it seem like the battles favor offensive characters built around dealing heavy damage, such as Lancelot and Percival. However, we’ve seen players suggest buffing party members and inflicting debuffs on enemies with Honor bonuses, which gives more fighting chances to support characters like Io and Rosetta.

What does Honor do in Link back to Granblue Fantasy?

Aside from contributing to total points and mission rankings, Honor seems to be primarily intended for bragging rights. It is not that it can be converted into additional money that you can exchange for weapons or items. It’s just a means of measuring everyone’s contribution to the mission, and since AI team members aren’t awarded Trophies, it only applies when playing co-op. So if you intend to play Granblue Fantasy: Relinking your own, this is not something you need to be concerned about.
