DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM) unveils new VALORANT esports roster

Here is DFM’s new VALORANT roster and coaching staff for the upcoming VCT Pacific 2024.

  • ‘Medusa’ Min-cheol
  • Yusuke “neth” Matsuda
  • Ibuki “Meiy” Seki
  • Souta “popogachi” Morita
  • Yoshitaka “Anthem” Enomoto
  • Tomonori “SSeeS” Okimura
  • Moon “Astell” Ji-won (Head coach)
  • Hirotaka “Melophobia” Okazaki (Coach)
  • “NorthernLights” (coach)

A look inside the roster

One notable change is that DetonatioN FocusMe has launched Suggest, one of its longest-running players. He has been a member of the team since 2021 and played with DFM at the Riot One Pro Invitational OFF//SEASON in December 2023. They also released XrayN, who had been part of the team since July 2023, as head coach.

The confusing part about the new roster is that JoxJo was added in November 2023. JoxJo signed with DFM in OFF//SEASON as the first part of the team’s rebuild. It should be noted that their DFM during VCT Pacific League 2023 was recorded at 0-11.

Most of the players included in the new roster were previously part of the Crazy Racoons lineup that played in VALORANT Challengers Japan 2023. Crazy Racoons was not eligible to participate in VCT Ascension 2023. Looking at the new roster, this is what it feels like: They are much better on paper than their previous team.

To qualify for VCT Masters Madrid, DFM must first win against DRX. DRX finished second last season and has an impressive roster. VCT Pacific. It’s going to be quite an uphill battle for DFM to come out on top.

Many fans are hoping that with the Crazy Racoons at their core, DFM can finally get their first win at VCT Pacific.
