Can Drampa be shiny in Pokemon Go?

When Pokémon first appeared in Pokémon Go, There’s always the possibility that Niantic will also include its Shiny variant immediately. Drampa is a good example as the Dragon type was only introduced in limited numbers.

First appearing in the Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed event on February 5, 2024, Drampa is one of the Dragon-type Pokémon that does not evolve. It’s a unique evolution line with above average stats, the odd Dragon/Normal type, and some awesome hair. It also has a highly sought after Shiny.

Can you please include Shiny Drampa Pokémon Go?

Niantic is hit or miss when it comes to releasing new Pokémon in Pokémon Go because you never know if they will be Shiny locked when they first appear. Luckily, Drampa is available to meet as Shiny immediately and will even be available after the launch event.

The Pokémon Placid, Drampa usually appears in a green and white color scheme with a yellowish tint. The shiny Drampa swaps green for dark yellow, with the only major difference being a change in eyebrow color from yellow to navy blue — making it almost impossible to miss if you encounter one.

Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed focuses on rare Dragon-type Pokémon, and it’s possible to encounter a lot of them as Shinies, so it makes sense for Drampa to be added during the event and not lock Shiny out right away. It will initially only be available in three-star raids in addition to some Timed Research and Field Research rewards, but that will change after Lunar New Year.
