Apple has won summary judgment in an Apple Watch antitrust lawsuit brought by AliveCor.

Apple Inc. AAPL, +0.86% won summary judgment in an antitrust lawsuit brought by AliveCor over the Apple Watch’s heart rate technology. Federal Judge Jeffrey White of the Northern District of California handed down the ruling on January 31. “At Apple, our teams are constantly innovating to create products and services that deliver health, wellness, and quality of life for our users. We are saving on features,” an Apple spokesperson said. “AliveCor’s lawsuit challenges Apple’s ability to enhance the critical features of Apple Watch that consumers and developers rely on, and today’s result confirms that it is not anticompetitive.” Alivecore said it plans to appeal the decision.
