Zepp Health is now pushing updates to its latest smartwatches based on its latest operating system, Zepp OS 3.5. The software offers new features including Zepp Flow, improved smart notifications, and offline maps. The company has also optimized several tools such as heart rate monitor and body composition algorithm.

Amazfit is releasing another update for its Balance smartwatch, version 3.17.6.3. The Balance, with a variety of health and wellness tracking features, launched in September. The previous software release took place in December, when the wearable received various tools for cycling accessories and readiness scores. The new update brings Zepp OS 3.5 to the watch, making Balance the brand’s first smartwatch to receive the upgraded system.

Update 3.17.6.3 introduces Zepp Flow to Balance, an AI tool that you can use to control your watch and ask questions about the weather, exercise metrics, and more. It’s worth noting that this feature is currently only available to customers in the US and Canada. We’ve also added support for offline maps that can be downloaded through the Zepp app. Another new maps feature gives users access to professional global ski maps that automatically display when they are near a resort in ski mode.

Balance smartwatch users can now sync image messages from third-party apps like WhatsApp on their connected Android phones. The breathing training results page has been changed, including new charts, and Readiness now supports a 5-minute monitoring frequency. There are also several optimizations to the accuracy of the heart rate monitor, body composition algorithm, and scheduling functions. If you own an Amazfit Balance smartwatch, you can download the 18.59MB update via the Zepp app.
